At Breakwater Path, we deeply value the voluntary support of our audience. This No Refund Policy for Donations establishes clear expectations for supporters regarding the finality of donations, memberships, and other financial contributions.
By donating to Breakwater Path, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
2. Donations Are Final and Non-Refundable
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing by Breakwater Path, all donations are final and non-refundable. This applies to:
- One-time donations
- Recurring contributions or memberships
- Tips via third-party platforms (e.g., Buy Me a Coffee, Patreon, Ko-fi)
- Crowdfunding campaigns or platform contributions
We do not offer chargebacks, reversals, or refunds except in limited, specified cases.
3. Limited Exceptions (Reviewed Case-by-Case)
Refunds may be granted only under limited and exceptional circumstances, at our sole discretion:
- Duplicate charges or donations
- Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions
- Technical issues resulting in overpayment or processing error

4. No Expectation of Services, Access, or Influence
Donations are voluntary acts of support and do not entitle donors to:

No professional, fiduciary, or representative relationship is formed by donation.
5. Editorial and Operational Independence
Donations do not influence our:
- Editorial direction or commentary
- Political positions or issue priorities
- Operational decisions or platform content
All published material reflects our independent judgment and educational mission.
6. Third-Party Platform Policy
If you donate via a third-party platform, their individual terms of service and refund procedures apply. We do not control external payment processors and are not liable for their actions.
7. No Political Campaign Contributions
Donations to Breakwater Path:
- Are not political contributions under U.S. law
- Are not used for campaigns, PACs, or lobbying

8. Right to Refuse or Return Donations
We reserve the right to refuse or return donations at our discretion, including:

- Are not charitable contributions for tax purposes
